Senior Manager, Positioning Strategy

A Senior Manager of Positioning Strategy is responsible for the day-to-day management of highly visible strategic marketing projects across multiple clients, primarily within the pharmaceutical industry. The right individual will continue to develop our existing clients and assist in expanding our new client base. Previous client management experience, the ability to handle complex projects, managing/developing various internal and external team members, and being comfortable working with high level client teams such as Market Research Directors, Product Management, and Marketing Directors are important skills for this position.
The Senior Manager of Positioning Strategy must exercise strong initiative, possess organization and problem solving skills, excellent written and verbal communications skills, the ability to direct his/her team to ensure that project goals are accomplished within the prescribed time frame and agreed-upon project scope. The candidate must be highly detail oriented, have a strong sense of urgency, the ability to prioritize, and the desire to stay abreast of emerging industry trends.
What We Are Looking For
- 5+ years of pharmaceutical/biotechnology marketing/communication experience
- 3+ years of client management experience
- Proven track record of successful project management and team leadership
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Ability to develop, foster, and maintain business relationships

- Excellent presentation development and delivery skills
- Familiarity with market research methodologies and interpretation

- Advertising agency or product management experience
- Experience in brand positioning and strategy development
Expectations
- Develop strong working knowledge of product and therapeutic categories for client projects
- Work directly with client and internal team members to ensure all deliverables meet and exceed client expectations
- Attend client meetings, market research, and new business pitches as necessary
- Work independently and with shared resources to ensure all work is completed in a thorough and timely manner
- Prospect for new projects and other opportunities within existing clients
- Manage multiple project assignments simultaneously
Other Things You Need To Know
- Domestic and international travel may be required based on project assignments and may exceed 25% at times during the course of a project
